Are You Ready To Create A Group Offer?

One of the biggest business lessons I’ve learned after having built two very successful businesses over the last 8 years, is that there has to be a strategy to the madness! 

That being said, of equal importance is knowing that there isn’t just one strategy to success! 

When I started my coaching business, my coach told me (and the 19 or so other women in our mastermind) that we should hold off on creating group offers until we were at capacity with our 1:1 clients. She believed that was how you created demand. 

And you know what, I can’t say that she was wrong. Because to say that she was wrong would undermine the fact that this exact plan worked for her. But, I do know that it isn’t the only way to build a successful business.

I’ll say this too, I don’t think it’s the most effective or sustainable way for a mama to build her business. 

The truth is that as mamas we build our businesses differently. 

Our distractions are tiny people.

Our greatest motivation also depends on us for their basic needs.

Our commitments are tenfold because they include our tiny people’s commitments too. 

Our time is precious, but it’s also stretched thin. 

We can’t always pull all-nighters perfecting our work because we’re probably up with a kid.

We can’t always record in a quiet setting because the reality is those moments are few and far between. 

And most importantly, our capacity is maxed out at a number that is significantly lower because we know time flies and we want to make memories with our children while they are still little.

But none of that means we aren’t capable of realizing our dreams.

None of that means we can’t make just as much money, or even more, than the rest.  

None of that means that we can’t be exceptional mamas and business owners at the same time. 

We are capable, reliable, intelligent, one of a kind, creative, determined, women who can achieve anything and everything we want. 

And I think it’s important that you take all of that into consideration when building your strategy to success! 

I was nowhere near my 1:1 capacity when I decided to launch my first group offer. 

And looking back, I know this is why I was able to avoid overwhelm and burnout on my journey to $10k months and beyond. 

I didn’t wait until I needed to find a way to relieve the pressure that solely working with 1:1 can create. 

I prevented it from happening altogether BECAUSE I started selling group offers. 

I know what you’re thinking: If I’m not waiting until I’m at 1:1 capacity to start selling group offers, how will I know I’m ready?

Let me share how I knew I was ready: 

  1. I looked at why I created this business to begin with and what I wanted this business to create for me and my family. The one word that encompasses it all is freedom.

  2. I asked myself if I really wanted to be sitting at my desk for 15-20 hours a week for individual coaching sessions. If I had to devote 20 hours a week to client calls, when would this leave time for me to work in my business? So instead of setting my capacity to 20 1:1 clients like so many of the people I followed, I lowered my capacity to 7. And I didn’t wait until I was booked to 7 to start offering other ways to work with me!

  3. I stepped into my full potential. I knew I had more to offer and could serve more mamas if I could create a 1 to many program. 

 

Right now, the idea of creating $10k months probably seems audacious. It’s such a big number and you’re thinking that you’ll have to give more of your time and energy to create it. 

But that doesn’t have to be the case if you put some strategy behind the madness! (See how I brought us right back to the first line of this blog. wink)  

Going from 1 on 1 to 1 to many was how I was able to create consistent cash in my business. Enough cash that I was able to move my family to Hawaii and fulfill one of our lifelong dreams! 

And it’s a lot easier to do than you think!
